Miki Ando

Ando performed a program choreographed by Nikolai Morozov, showing off difficult footwork.

It wasn't the jumps that highlighted the program, but the straight line step sequence. In the last half of the program, Ando, in a black and red costume, crossed the ice by intricate footwork. The audience cheered loud.
"Steps aren't my forte, but I can move like this ever since I switched to Nikolai." Her new short program is still in progress, so at Nobeyama she skated to her exhibition program "Carmen".

The fifth Nobeyama Summer Festival on Ice took place in Nagano on 29th July. Fumie Suguri, Miki Ando and Daisuke Takahashi performed.

Ando landed a 3-2 combo, steps with upper body movements and had good speed. "I'm going back to basics on jumps. I'm feeling confident after skating like this."

Takahashi got the crowd going with his expressive footwork, his moves were sharp. On the other hand, Suguri's jumps were inconsistent. She seems to be adjusting slowly. Yukina Ota skated to her SP "Swan Lake".

Mao Asada, Yukari Nakano and Yoshie Onda did not participate.
